Family Empowerment Services Director

Full-time, exempt management position has significant responsibility for compliance matters related to publicly and privately financed behavioral health services. Ensures compliance with public or private health insurance requirements and accurate billing for services, oversees a continuous quality improvement program for mental health services. Maintains an advanced working knowledge of the EHR software and can explain the system to staff supervised. Requires equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in human services, social work or closely related field and four years' experience supervising several staff in a family services or mental health organization, Master's degree preferred. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends and early mornings. Must  be able to pass DOJ/FBI level background and possess a valid CA driver's license and current proof of insurance. Starts at $4,333.55 salaried per month. Early Education Specialist

Full-time position works with providers and parents participating in the Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP) and Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) programs to ensure standards are met with regard to the child care environmen, curriculum, activities, provider professional development and parent engagement. Performs provider pre-enrollment site visit, interview potential providers, conducts health and safety inspections and orients new providers to program requirements,, expectation and procedures. Additionally will assist EHS-CCP provides to develop and implement individualized plan for each enrolled child supporting their development of language, cognitive, social skill sets as well as emotional and physical developments and positive nutrition. Must possess a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education or Child Development units, One year of direct experience in child care settings working with infants, toddlers and children under 4. Prior Early Head Start or Head Start experience is preferred. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends and early mornings. Parent Support Specialist

Full-time position works with adults with an intellectual/developmental disability to develop or enhance parenting skills and access support services. Makes home visits and provides services in a variety of community settings. Requires equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in child development, social science, social work, education or a related field and two years of experience working with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities, preferably with an emphasis in parent education, home visiting, or independent living skills. Varied scheduling to include weekends, evenings, and early mornings at a variety of locations throughout Humboldt County. Skills Specialist

This intermittent position provides behavioral and support services to children and adults who have developmental disabilities; uses intervention strategies that reflect evidence based practices to increase developmentally appropriate skills as overseen by a behavioral consultant; as assigned, performs personal attendant duties; performs related work as assigned.  Work is generally performed within the focus individual’s residence or (as approved) in community settings.  Starts at $14.25/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
